Full Description
Monitoring of ground works for a side extension recovered evidence for medieval activity at this site close to the town centre. However as the foundations were piled only relatively shallow ground beam trenches were opened and these did not disturb an area of medieval period pitting whose upper surface was exposed though a few sherds of 12th-14th century pottery were recovered from this area within the foundations (S1).
