Full Description

Earthworks surrounding Mutton Hall visible on aerial photographs and lidar, representing the remains of field boundary ditches. The boundaries do not appear on the 1846 tithe map and so are likely to represent former sub-divisons of larger fields. Although their date is unknown, they are likely to be contemporary with or post-date the 16th C manor house. A number of historic trees still survive within the field marking the line of the former boundaries (S1,2,3 and 4).
