Full Description

2005: The two ditches identified during the monitoring work are presumably related to a now lost filed sytem. No ditches or boundaries are marked in the area on early Ordnance Survey maps, which indicate this area may have been completely open. This suggests that these features may be of some antiquity and possibly related to prehistoric settlement and farming which is known to have occurred in this area. However the lack of stray finds of any kind indicate little evidence of activity close to or on the site (S1).
