Full Description

2006: Monitoring recorded a rapid accumulation of post-medieval soil layers overlying a compacted surface of stone, brick and tile, which could possibly be a yard surface. Although no dating evidence was recovered, it is possibly that the yard surface could be medieval in date. The archaeological layers have been sealed and preserved beneath the concrete (S1).
