2009:An evaluation trench exposed part of the south precinct wall of the Abbey and a mortar surface inside the wall which was overlain by destruction debris that may date from the Dissolution. Cobbles on the outside of the wall are probably a pavement of similar date. At the north end of the trench there was a mortar foundation for a sill beam structure of probable 17th-century date, and various post-medieval deposits (S2).

2010: Archaeological monitoring idenfied no archaeological features or finds (S1).
