Full Description
1957: Pot sherds, samian fragment. ? C2. Found digging foundations of building near Brackenbury Barracks at TM 317 355. Two bowl rim fragments, 1 soft red ware base, 1 samian rim (much worn)(S2).
Previous scatter including late C2 - TS stamp 'Venator' (of Lezoux) found in barracks construction circa 1916-1917 (S1)(R1).
September 1995: Area delineated on HER map corrected from TM 316 355 to area centreing on TM 3178 3557 after (S1). Also section of Roman road seen in 1916 (TM 3180 3555?) when barracks built (S2).
