Full Description

2012: Evaluation trenching for an Anglian Water Pipeline revealed two ditches, a pit and a metalled surface. One of the ditches revealed a small sherd of Late Bronze Age to Early Iron Age pottery. The second ditch revealed dating evidence. A metalled surface was located towards the centre of the trench. Due to the relative close proximity of the Roman remains around Ixworth, this surface may be connected to this activity (S1).
