Full Description

2002: Two sherds of Roman pottery and two sherds of Essex Red ware dated to the 14th-15th century were identified during an archaeological watching brief carried out on the excavation of footings. A possible Roman occupation may have been seen at the base of the trench, although it could not be differentiated from the topsoil (S1).
