Full Description
Lowestoft North railway station was opened in July 1903 by the Norfolk and Suffolk Joint Railway as part of its line from Yarmouth to Lowestoft. The station was original the terminus for the line but in the 1950s the line was connected to Lowestoft Central (See LWT 147). The goods yard closed in November 1967 and the station closed to passengers in 1970. That station has since been built over, although the stationmaster’s house survives.
