Full Description
Roman pot found 24 June 1938, unearthed from about 18 inches down. Location after (S3)(R1).
Basil Brown advised of find of Rom indented cinerary urn with iron, 18 inches deep at West end of avenue in 1938. Mr Watt (Wall?) was the finder and BB's informant in 1951 was R Meehan, Surveyor in charge of Cliff Road development (S1).
IPSMG card gives details of S D Wall Collection which includes 1 indented beaker, probably the one described in (S1) above (S2).
