Pre 1951: Mesolithic Tranchet axe, dug up from allotment by L A Tarrant, 18 inches below surface in sandy loam. Black lustrous flint (S1).

Pewit Hill is marked on OS map from TM 2870 3378 to 2877 3432. The only allotment gardens appear to be at cited NGR.
