Summary

Monitoring of a trench excavated in the garden of Rose Cottage, Stowlangtoft, uncovered a medieval ditch which is thought to have been a former boundary to the site. Finds from the ditch included pottery and animal bone dating from the 12th/14th century. A unstratified possibly Edward IV silver long-cross penny was also recovered.

Monitoring of a trench excavated in the garden of Rose Cottage, Stowlangtoft, uncovered a medieval ditch which is thought to have been a former boundary to the site. Finds from the ditch included pottery and animal bone dating from the 12th/14th century. A unstratified possibly Edward IV silver long-cross penny was also recovered (S1).
