Full Description

Five storry tower mill dated to 1840. The cap was removed in 1922 and the mill now stands derelict with the floors having collapsed. Two paris of stones and a wire machine remain with the main gearing which is of wood. There were four patent sails, a domed cap, and a fantail (S1). Cartographic evidence suggests that there were two mills on the site in 1783 (S2). Visible on the 1st edition OS map c.1880 (S3).
