Full Description
Part of former quadrangular moat with outer dog-legged arm to E, isolated, close to parish boundary, to N of Abbey Farm. Shown complete on 1880s & 1900s OS maps (S1)(S2). S arm now gone.
Tithe map of 1842 (S3) only shows S half of a rectagular moat ending at diagonal field boundary - was the moat originally a large rectangle? Also marks several large ponds (?) to N in area of buildings - see copy in parish file).
