Full Description

An education and community project including a metal detecting and test pit survey identified that features identified on a geophysical survey were related to the lie of sedimentary till and sands of the natural subsoil. An artefact scatter of mostly Post Medieval objects was also collected including a high quality prehistoric probably flint blade, 12th to 13th century pottery sherds and 19th to 20th century pottery and glass sherds, several toy vehicles, a prefects badge, a number of decimal coinage and a .303 cartridge case (S1).
