Monument record WPT 042 - Two undated ditches identifed during an evaluation at Steeles Road (Phase 2)

2014: Two undated ditches identifed during an evaluation. The two ditches appear to relate to the existing field boundary to the south of the site. The date of this boundary is unknown. It is unclear whether the ditches mark earlier iterations of the boundary or if they are part of a trackway around the edge of the boundary. Their size suggests they may be more than simple internal field boundaries but this is speculative due to the absense of any artefactual evidence (S1).
