Full Description

August 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme.
Former World War Two trackways and remnants of a possible training area are visible as former earthworks on aerial photographs (S1)-(S7) on Upper Hollesley Common. They have been previously recorded as part of an earthwork survey (HLY 107- (S9)). An area of possible trackways centred on TM 329 481 are also visible on lidar imagery (S8), although these are difficult to distinguish from modern trackways and have not been mapped.
