Full Description

August 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme.
Undated cropmarks of linear ditches are visible on aerial photographs (S1) to the east of The Chase, Sutton. It is possible that these features relate to former field boundaries, although since they have been mapped from an imperfectly rectified image, it is also possible that they are remnants of the Second World War anti-glider trenches which have also been recorded in the area (SHER SUT 105). However since they appear to be less regular and uniform in appearance than the glider ditches, they have been recorded separately.
E. Ford (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 10th September 2015.
