Full Description
Moat. Square, occupied (R1).
1993: Sub-rectangular moat surrounds an island 44m x 43m; moat wet, width 10-12m and up to 3m deep. SE arm of moat bordered by bank 7-8m and 0.7m high, mounded to 1.3m at E end. A secondary eastern causeway 7m wide across W end of moat provides access to island. House is C17, Grade II listed on SE side of island. Inner moat face at S corner is vertical, brick-revetted with arched opening to brick cistern (S2). Scheduled November 1993. Note change of NGR from TM 2877 5888.
