Full Description

Eight pottery sherds were recovered as unstratified finds. Three were medieval and are in fabrics typical of the south of the county, all with similarities to reduced and oxidised wares made in north and east Essex. The late medieval and early post-medieval period is represented by a sherd of hard-fired earthenware which is probably from Bourne in Lincolnshire, and two local glazed redwares, suggesting 15th/16th-century or later activity (S1).
