Full Description

Possible moated site noted on 1946 RAF aerial photographs. Basil Brown notes a moated site at TL93767392 which was destroyed in 1946. There is no sign of a moat at this location on the 1946s aerial photographs and the similarity of the grid reference with this moat suggests that there is a possiblility that this is the moat Basil Brown was referring to (S1) (S2).
