Old record card states: 'Dredged from River Little Ouse near Barnham: iron axe-head of Viking type with narrow neck and wide-splayed blade. Originally from Warren Collection, passed to H Swainson Cowper, from whom it went to Lancaster Museum in 1938. LM 437/32 . Copy of sketch in Barnham file' (S1).
