Full Description

1997: Roman and medieval metal detector finds include:
Bronze brooch fragment, upper bow only of Colchester derivative type. Bow flat-backed, squarish section with a centre band of 3 grooves. The 2 intervening ribs being zigzag. Length 29mm.
Silver coins: Elizabeth I, 1575. Cut half penny, short cross type. Penny, longcross type Edward II, Durham mint under Bishop Bek 1310-4.
Bronze jetton, English 'Sterling' series, 14th century
Misc furniture knobs, recent fittings etc. buttons, musket balls
Bronze coin, sestertius, very corroded, probably Ant. Pius 138-161.
