Full Description

March 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme.
Fragmentary cropmarks of possible medieval settlement are visible on aerial photographs (S1) to the north of St Andrew’s Church, Aldringham cum Thorpe. The cropmarks are somewhat ephemeral and it is difficult to be certain of their extent, but they are located in close proximity to a medieval pottery scatter (SHER ARG 019), and have therefore been interpreted as a possible fragment of medieval settlement.
E. Ford (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 6th March 2015.
