Full Description
March 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme.
An area of World war Two structures, possible accommodation huts, which may be related to the Diver Battery site on Thorpeness Common (SHER ARG 066), are visible on aerial photographs (S1) to the west of Alexander Wood, Aldringham cum Thorpe. They were not visible on photographs from 1943 (S2), and neither was the Diver battery site, which suggests that these structures were related to it.
E. Ford (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 18th March 2015.
