Full Description
January 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Beauty National Mapping Programme.
The parchmarks, and possibly also slight earthworks, potentially relating to medieval to post medieval boundaries and/or structural remains are visible on aerial photographs to the rear and south of the Public House at Eastbridge (S1). It is not clear whether these parchmarks relate to compacted surfaces or underlying features and it is feasible some or all of these features could relate to recent or twentieth century activity behind the premises. However slight linear marks seemingly corresponding to some of these boundaries are visible in 1945 (S2). It is possible that some of these features survive as low earthworks, although the aerial photograph evidence on the latest photos is inconclusive.
