Full Description

Archaeological Monitoring of three areas revealed the disturb deposits of post-medieval date. Layers of demolition rubble was identified sealing brick footings and floor surfaces. All of the identified red brick structures, except for on were on th same alignment as exisiting buildings and preivoud buildings visible on the first edition Ordnance Survey Map of circa 1883. A white brick structure was on a different aignment and may predate the red brick elements (S1).
