March 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme.
A probable World War Two practice trench is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs (S1-S2) on land to the west of Leiston Road, Aldeburgh.
This zig-zag trench is visible in close proximity to the anti-tank ditch defence (SHER ADB 034) and may have been dug as a further strategic defence structure.
