Full Description

March 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme.
A probable World War Two practice trench is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs (S1) on land to the west of Leiston Road, Aldeburgh.
This trench is visible in close proximity to the anti-tank ditch defence (SHER ADB 034) and may have been dug as a further strategic defence structure, however it is only visible clearly on photographs taken after the end of the Second World War (S1) and has therefore been recorded with a note of caution.
E. Ford (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 5th March 2015.
