Full Description

1998: A single base sherd of handmade pottery was identified on the surface of the slope to the southwest of Sutton Hoo House. The sherd measured 12mm thick and had a reddish brown surface. It had regular inclusions of burnt flint 1mm to 3mm in size. The sherd is of possible Early Bronze Age date (S1).
