Full Description

First brooch is bronze with traces of tinning. It has a flat band with traces of iron corrosion and is decorated. The pin is missing (S1).
The second brooch has an incomplete flat band. Its ends are rivited with traces of a zig-zag ornament. The head is bent into a loop and the pin is intact (S1).

From West Stow heath, Suffolk as part of Joseph Warren's collection. Acquired by Sir John Evans and presented to the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford by Sir Arthur Evans in 1909. (S1) Accession number: OXFAS 1909.428 and OXFAS 1909.422a.
