Full Description

Bronze cruiform brooch, semi-circular in section with trip collars and trapezoid head-plate. It has a high arched bow with animal-head terminal. A single hinge remains of the iron pin with a short catch. From West Stow heath, Suffolk as part of Joseph Warren's collection. Acquired by Sir John Evans and presented to the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford by Sir Arthur Evans in 1909. (S1) Accession number: OXFAS 1909.433.
