Full Description

1995: Probable 13th century Lead seal matrix, circular and flat, raised rib on the reverse with unpierced lug at one end. Die had a central small 8-leafed flower/star and the inscription: '+S;An:D:PL'hm' 'the seal of An[drew?] d[e[ Plhm'. The placename at the end is uncertain - there are no obvious places starting PL- and ending - ham, however it is possible it is Pulham in Norfolk. People surnamed 'de Pulham' are recorded at Hintlesham and Oakley in 1327. Exact findspot is unknown. (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)
