Full Description
1993: Unlocated Roman coin and possible Roman eagle figurine. Coin is Antoninianus Obv: OTACIL SEV, Rev: Possible PIETAS. Eagle figurine, solid casting wing, head and tail all bent. Small peg at base for attachment ?to furninture. Incised feather marks all over, worn smooth on chest and head. Most of the surface has a black deposit on it. Exact date unknown but possibly Roman. Exact findspot unclear but from Layham parish.
