Full Description
Evaluation of nine trenches revelaed remains of Late Bronze Age, Roman and Modern features. The Late Bronze Age was represented bu a pieve of pottery, however a number of ditches and pits identified could be of prehistoric origin. The Roman period was represented by six ditches, one pit and one post hole and a sherd fragment of post pipe. Roman pottery of coasre ware, grey ware and fine ware was reocvered orm the features with the features representing the remains of Roman Settlement activity. The modern period was represented by two modern machine dug refuse pits (S1).
