Full Description

November 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme.
Three possible areas of barbed wire obstruction, or possible World War Two 'strongpoints' are visible on aerial photographs (S1)-(S2) on land surrounding ‘Duck Corner’, Hollesley. It was difficult to be certain of these features due to the resolution of the laser copy photographs (S1) but since only the southern-most feature is still visible in 1945 (S2), it is clear that they were temporary features, and barbed-wire fencing was thought to be the most likely explanation for them.
E. Ford (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 25th November 2015.
