Full Description

December 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme.
Vague and fragmentary linear cropmarks visible on aerial photographs (S1) probably represent part of a field system of unknown date. They are probably contemporary with the clearer field system cropmarks visible in the field to the west (CHF 041), for which an Iron Age to Roman date could be postulated. The photographs are not at all clear: further elements may be visible which have not been mapped, while some mapped elements could be of non-archaeological origin.
S. Tremlett (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 4th December 2015.
