Summary

The cropmarks of boundaries and enclosures of probable medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs. However the majority relate to boundaries depicted on the Ordnance Survey First Edition map, or are closely related to those, and therefore have not been mapped. However see the nearby site of BLM 048 for features relating to the First Edition map that have been mapped due to a possible earlier and more archaeological significant origin.

August 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Beauty National Mapping Programme.
The cropmarks of boundaries and enclosures of probable medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs (S1). However the majority relate to boundaries depicted on the Ordnance Survey First Edition map (S2), or are closely related to those, and therefore have not been mapped. Additionally the majority of the site is located outside of the project area. However see the nearby site of BLM 048 for features relating to the First Edition map that have been mapped due to a possible earlier and more archaeological significant origin.
