Full Description

Two sides, N 60m, E 50m, plus short length of third side of a rectilinear enclosure. (S1)
The rectilinear enclosure described above (S1) can be seen as a cropmark, centred on TM 28874050, on an aerial photograph taken in 1975. The overall dimensions of the enclosure are roughly 85m by 40m. Within the larger enclosure the partial cropmark of a possible small square enclosure, 15m by 15m, is visible centred on TM 28874049. The enclosure is at least 20m to the south of the original grid reference. Three sides of another possible enclosure can be seen as a cropmark to the north, centred on TM 28824056. The date and function of these enclosures is unknown. It is important to note that the lack of control to the north of the photograph may mean that the position of the rectified features is not accurate and the poor clarity of the features may mean future photography reveals them to be agricultural in nature.
