Summary

Possible evidence of Second World War training activity is visible on aerial photographs as trenches, a pit and areas of disturbed ground. The site could have been part of Woodbridge Training Area (SUT 250). However, the military origin of the features is not certain; they could instead relate to drainage, and/or the provision of services to nearby buildings. It is not known whether any elements of the site still survive as earthworks.

April 2016. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme.
Possible evidence of Second World War training activity is visible on aerial photographs (S1)-(S3) as trenches, a pit and areas of disturbed ground. The site could have been part of Woodbridge Training Area (SUT 250). However, the military origin of the features is not certain; they could instead relate to drainage, and/or the provision of services to nearby buildings. It is not known whether any elements of the site still survive as earthworks.
