Full Description

The archaeological assessment has established that the study area has a moderate potential for Iron Age and Roman remains. It is expected that development of the site will penetrate below the upper level of the natural drift geology and accordingly have an adverse impact upon any extant archaeological remains. Given the number and range of archaeological sites recorded in the vicinity of the site, it is thought that an appropriate investigation strategy, to fully assess the potential impacts of the proposed development on any surviving heritage assets, may be required by the Local Planning Authority (S1).
