Full Description
2016: The Long Melford Heritage Centre excavated a small trench in the garden of 13 St Catherine's Road, Long Melford. No features were identified, however a large number of Roman period finds were recovered from either a disturbed layer or possibly a disturbed large pit. Amongst the finds were a clay Venus figurine, sherds of a glass vessel, and a moderate assemblage of Roman pottery inlcuding Samian Ware. (S1)
