Full Description
February 2016. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme.
A circular pit-like cropmark, surrounded by a bank, is visible on aerial photographs (S1)-(S3). Its regular shape, its size and its good definition are all typical for the site of a Second World War bomb crater. It should be noted that the rectification of the photograph used for mapping was problematic, and this may have had an adverse impact on the accuracy of the mapping.
S. Tremlett (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 24th February 2016.
