Full Description
April 2016. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Beauty National Mapping Programme.
The earthworks of an extensive linear hollow or wide shallow ditch is visible on the lidar 2m resolution DTM data (S1) running eastwards for approximately 700m from a boundary ditch forming part of ADT 013 – a site consisting of rectangular enclosures and boundaries of possible Roman or medieval date – towards the coast. Feasibly this may represent a routeway associated with those enclosures and the landscape associated with them, although it could also relate to the line of a later drainage channel.
S. Horlock (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 20th April 2016.
