Monument record LVM 114 - 16th-17th pit and two undated pits at The Greyhound, Lavenham

Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out to the rear of The Greyhound Inn which is a 15th-16th century listed building in the centre of the medieval town of Lavenham. Significant archaeological features were one 16th-17th century pit and two undated pits or natural features. Post-medieval finds include red brick, peg-tile and fragments of salt-glazed drainage pipe along with pottery and glass bottles, all of 19th-20th century date. Two clay pipe stems 16th-17th century were also recovered (S1).
