Full Description
A single evaluation trench revealed two pits which were suspected to be chalk extraction pits. These pits were tentatively dated to the medieval to early post-medieval period. Only a single sherd of medieval pottery was collected from these pits. A single sherd of early medieval pottery and two worked flints of Late Neolithic to Bronze Age date were also identified (S1).
