Monument record BNH 123 - Probable modern pipeline

Please read our .

Summary

Assessment of aerial photographs revealed vegetation marks suggesting a road or track relating to a river crossing. However later aerial photographs would suggest that the features relate to a pipeline or similar modern feature, which has been identified continuing into Norfolk (NHER 54547). Given the amount of Roman and Saxon evidence in the area, the existence of the probable pipeline has been recorded to reduce misinterpretation in the future.

Assessment of aerial photographs (S1) revealed vegetation marks suggesting a road or track relating to a river crossing. However later aerial photographs (S2) would suggest that the features relate to a pipeline or similar modern feature, which has been identified continuing into Norfolk (NHER 54547).
