Monument record BNH 126 - Possible sub-rectangular mound, perhaps a medieval to post medieval building platform.

Please read our .

Summary

The possible earthworks (since levelled) of a sub-rectangular mound may be visible on historical aerial photographs, although this is not certain and the mound cannot clearly be discerned on other aerial photographs from the same era. It is feasible that the mound relates to the platform of one or more former buildings, potentially of medieval to post medieval date. However this is uncertain and it could instead relate to recent activity. There is no clear evidence of it relating to the Second World War, for example an earth-covered air raid shelter.

The possible earthworks (since levelled) of a sub-rectangular mound may be visible on historical aerial photographs (S1), although this is not certain and the mound cannot clearly be discerned on other aerial photographs from the 1940s. It is feasible that the mound relates to the platform of one or more former buildings, potentially of medieval to post medieval date. However this is uncertain and it may instead relate to more recent activity. There is no clear evidence of it relating to the Second World War, for example relating to an earth-covered air raid shelter.
