Full Description
Spread of burnt flints, ? prehistoric on Foxhall Heath near the end of the butts of the old rifle range. Recorded by H Spencer circa 1949 (S1). Basil Brown records this as Late Pal site with abundance of "cooking stones", says some of "the pot boilers, hearths (Norfolk examples) at least, are of Beaker type". Information from R Rainbird Clarke, Curator, Norwich Museum, 16.2.50. Basil Brown recorded this find at the Rifle Butts, Kesgrave, in error (S2).
