Full Description
January 2019. 'Brecks from Above' and Breckland National Mapping Programme.
An undated mound, possibly a Neolithic or Bronze Age burial mound but perhaps instead of natural origin, is visible as an earthwork on imagery from a 2015 lidar survey (S1). It is one of two mounds situated adjacent to each other (the other is recorded as SHER WNG 059). It is clear from the lidar that they lie on the northern edge of an extensive area of very uneven ground, and a natural, geomorphological origin for both mounds is a strong possibility. As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently, it is likely that the earthworks still survive.
